Recently, an influencer by the name of Alessi Allaman published a three-part series of an interview he did with Ramapough Mountain Indian Inc. members, tribal chief Dwayne Perry and Steven Owl Smith. Incidentally, these are the same two individuals who fabricated and sent the fraudulent letter to the Bergen county medical examiner offering several possibilities for why Muriyd Two Clouds Williams had been found dead on their religious land, Split Rock Sweet Water Prayer Camp- possibilities that lacked any evidence, and that were not sent to Mahwah police department to voice their alleged concerns.
In response, I, mother of Two Clouds, made two reaction videos in response to Allaman's questionings. My intention is to show how the tribal chief (as well as the entire tribal government and nation overall) have actively participated in the attempt to erase the work and existence of Two Clouds by 1) not mentioning him when direct interrogation requires he be part of the answer, 2) not mentioning anything about his sudden and wholly suspicious death during the past two and a half years, even while I have asked them to many times to do so, and 3) they have not helped me and Two Clouds' supporters to demand an investigation, even while more and more evidence has surfaced proving murder and conspiracy to cover up.
Over nearly six years Two Clouds served the Ramapough people in many capacities including fire keeper, water protector, secretary, and spokesperson. It is due to his unrelenting work that they did not lose their religious land to the adjacent Polo Club HOA *their only owned parcel at the time), and why dozens of acres of stolen land were returned by the town and/or county. At the time of his murder he was the elected war chief, and had returned less than twenty-four hours before his disappearance from fighting on their behalf against then- CPAIN head, Daniel Strong Walker Thomas.
The sole responsibility of a tribal chief, clan chiefs, clan mothers, and tribal council is to advocate for tribal members. Two Clouds is an enrolled member of the Ramapough Nation, and has done far more for them than any member in generations yet they do not speak/stand/fight for him. The question to ask is, "WHY???"
